Speech – Poverty In India

Speech – Poverty In India

IntroductionFriends, First of all I would like to define poverty that generally poverty is a type of scarcity or the state in which a person has lack of material possessions or money. Poverty is a deprivation of basic human needs which commonly includes food, water, sanitation, clothing, shelter, health care and education. Poverty is a state in which a person has an economic inequality in the location or society in which he lives. Poverty is one of the major problems of not only India but it is a problem of the world. There are many people who don’t fulfill their basic needs like food, clothes, and housing. They are not getting proper and balanced food to eat, proper clothes to wear, and pukka houses to live. Many species wander here and there in search of jobs and work. They live in tents like raw houses.

The reasons of poverty – In our country many people are not getting proper opportunities to work. Many people are illiterate. They are not expert in business skills. On the other hand some people, who are educated, they don’t want to do hardworking  business. In our country the problem of population, unemployment, and corruption are related to each other and responsible for poverty. Because of corruption and population rising people are not getting proper jobs and services according to their qualifications. People have lack of courage and daring to do enterprising businesses. They don’t want to take risk in business. Our today's youngsters are misleading from the right path. The major part of of our youngsters have become the addict of alcohol, tobacco, gambling, opium, and narcotics etc. They consider hooliganism, adultery, and vagrancy as their pride and dignity.
The Effects of Poverty – Poverty effects very badly upon the poor people. It ruins them. The people, who suffer it start begging, stealing, and killing job. They wander with old and tattered clothes, and become homeless. They die because of hunger and malnutrition. They remain illiterate.  Unwillingly girls and women fall in prostitution. The poor become become the prey of humiliation in the society.
Conclusion – To remove poverty from India, we will have to educate people. We will have to explain people the lesson of importance of daring, risk and hard work in the field of business. Poverty is a curse for humanity. We will have to teach the lesson of disadvantages of drug addiction to our young generation. We will have to explain them that the evil of drug addiction is a devil, and this devil is the enemy of prosperity and progress.
