Online Story – Safal Jivan (Hindi - English)

Ek putra ne ek bar apne pita se ek prashn puchha “Pitaji yeh safal jivan kise kehte hai ?” yeh sun pitaji putra ko apne ghar ki chhat par le gaye, vaha unhone ek patang ko udaya.

Vah patang bahut upar jata, phir niche aata, punah uchai par jata. yeh dekh putra ne pitaji se kaha “Pitaji is dhage k bandhan ki vajah se yeh patang poori tarah se upar nahi ja pa raha hai, yadi ise dhage se bandhanmukt kar diya jaye to yeh patang akash me upar hi upar jayega.” Yeh sun pitaji ne turant hi patang ki dor ko kat diya, ab patang kuch uchai par gaya, parantu kuchh hi samay pashchat vah niche aakar ek ped ki shakha me atak gaya. Yeh dikhakar pitajine apne putra ko samjhaya “Beta, dekh lo, yahi hai safal jivan ka darshan. Jis prakar ek dhage k bandhan ki vajah se hi ek patang uchaiya prapt karta hai, theek usi prakar, hamare Jivan me bhi parivar, rishte, dharm, samaj, ityadi ki zimmedariya jise hum apni safalta ki udan me bandhan samajhte hai, vastav me yeh sabhi is patang k dhage k saman hi hai, jiski vajah se hum jivan me safalta ki bulandiya pate hai. Yadi jivan me is dor se hum bandhanmukt ho jaye, to hamara hashra bhi ped ki shakha me atke is patang ki tarah hi hoga.” Shayad ab putra safal jivan ka arth samajh chuka tha.

The Successful Life (English)

Once a son asked a question to his father, “Father what is the meaning of a successful life” Listening this the father took his son to his roof. There he flew a kite. The kite went high, then came down, again received height. Seeing this the son said to father “Father because of the fastenings of the thread, the kite is unable to get height properly. We should cut its thread, make it free, so that it may go high and high in the sky. Listening this the father cut the thread of the kite immediately. Now the kite went high, and after some time it came down, and stuck into the branch of a tree. Showing this the father explained to his son “Look my dear son, this is the vision of a successful life. As a kite gets height because of the tie-up of the thread, like that in our life the responsibilities of family, relations, religion, community, etc to which we understand the fastenings in the height of our life’s success, it is in reality as like as the thread of the kite, because of that we achieve the height of success in our life. If in life we get loose from the knot of this thread, our condition would be just like the kite, which is hanging on the branch of the tree.” The son might have understood the meaning of a successful life.
