Online Speech on Republic Day

Respected sir and audience, I am going to speak something about Republic day. Except religious festivals, there are some national festivals also that are celebrated in India. The festivals which are celebrated by the entire nation are called National Festival. It is an occasion of fun, joy and pride for all Indians. Every Indian celebrates national festivals with great joy and respect.
It is celebrated on 26th January. India became a republic on this day. A big parade is held at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi on this day. All the states of India participate in this parade. It is attended by the President, the Prime Minister, Chief guests and all important officials of the country.
Today we all gathered here to celebrate Republic Day. A day when we remember all our great leaders who have fought for independence of our country. For our independence.  It’s because of them we are able to enjoy a free life today ruled by no one.

Leaders have proved that we can win war without using guns and machines. By maintaining values, practicing ethics India has won a war over British. India before Independence, celebrated 26th January as Republic day. But we got our independence on 15th August 1947. What happens to 26th Jan ?  So on 26th January 1950, constitution of India was formed and thereafter we have celebrated this day every year as Republic day.
Republic Day of India is here again and citizens of the country are busy organizing for the the event. Every year, January 26th is celebrated as Republic Day in India to honour January 26, 1950 when the Constitution of India came into existence. The Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism all over the country. It is the day when India became a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic country. Today, not only schools & educational institutions but also Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA), corporate offices and apartment communities organize events for Republic Day celebration.
