It goes without saying to you that it is also one of the major problems of our country. I would like to inform you that unemployment is a condition in which a person doesn’t get the work or job or any business according to his ability. We can say that unemployment  occurs when a person who is actively searching for employment but he remains unable to find work.

One day, Akbar drew a line on the floor and ordered, “Make this line shorter, but don’t rub out any part of it.”

No one knew what to do. Each minister looked at the line and was puzzled.

No one could think of any way to make it longer. No one could think of how it could be made shorter without erasing it.

Birbal started smiling. When it was his turn, he went near the line.

Birbal drew a longer line under the first one. He didn’t touch the first line. 

Everyone in the court saw what he drew and said – “That’s true. The first line is shorter now!”

Akbar appreciated Birbal and said “Birbal you are really very clever.”

A Story On A Lessons Of Thrift

A man who prided himself on his thriftiness was dismayed to learn that there was another tightward who lived more frugally than him.

“I must take lessons in thrift from this genius,” he said to his son, “otherwise I’ll continue to overspend. Go to his house and ask him if he will accept me as his student!”

It was customary to gift a goose to the guru at the time he was approached. So he drew a goose on a piece of paper and gave it to his son.

“Give this to him with my regards,” he beamed.

One of the people, who came to the river bank for walking, asked to the fisherman “O, fisherman, you worked hard all day long, and now, do you want to go to the home empty handed”?

It was peak hour at the airport. A flight was cancelled adding to the chaos. The passengers booked on the flight had to stand in a queue for alternate flight bookings.

A grumpy middle-aged man jumped the queue and asked the lady at the counter to attend to him first, demanding no less than first class accommodation. The lady kept her cool and told him, “sir, sorry,  you will have to stand in the line”. The man got annoyed and spoke loudly so that all could hear. “Lady, do you know who am I”?

The woman excused herself and got to the public address system: “Ladies and gentlemen, your attention please! Here is a man who does not know who he is! Could someone come forward to help him”?

One day a man was going to his sister’s house in another village when he ran into a gang of dacoits.  ‘Who are you?’ asked the dacoit chief, glowering at him.

‘I’m a school teacher,’ said the man.

‘A school teacher, eh? Sneered the chief. ‘And do you test your students regularly?

‘Yes,’ said the man.

‘well,’ said the chief, it’s time somebody tested you! He picked up a large pumpkin and gave it to the school teacher.

‘Guess its weight,’ he told the teacher. ‘The exact weight, mind you! we we’ll weigh it afterwards. If you’re right, I’ll let you go unharmed. If you are wrong you’ll get a hundred lashes with the whip!’

This pumpkin weighs exactly as much as your head, sir,’ said the teacher, quietly, and gave the pumpkin  back to him.

As some of the dacoit’s men seemed keen to find out if the teacher was right and this they could only do if the dacoit’s head was removed from his body, the chief laughed uproariously to show that it was all a joke and let the teacher go unharmed.
