Tips for Overcoming laziness
Uff.... so many tasks at hand! There‘s homework, classwork, tuition, swimming classes etc etc. Ah! That sound tiring. But, when you analyse what all things your mother and father do alone, you will be surprised, how they manage to remain so active. Your mom cooks, cleans, takes care of your work and entire home. While your dad works at office, pays bills on time, ensures that there your school fees is paid on time, manages accounts well and with all these activities, they also take out time for the family. What if your parents acted lazy? Who would have ensured smooth functioning of your life? Sounds scary.....right?
It is important for each person to carry out his/her responsibilities well. Nobody, including you, must act lazy. However, if you still cant overcome laziness, try these simple steps.
1.      The most important aspect of overcoming laziness is getting organized. So many times we want to do something productive but the clutter and the junk makes it seem impossible to get anything done. A nice, clean and organized space invites us to do some work and be productive.
2.      It is imperative to write down our goals so we can visualize exactly what needs to be done. Every single night make a ‘to-do’ list on a notebook and add 5-10 things that must be accomplished the next day.
3.      Everyone goes through that feeling of ‘not doing’ something that needs to be done. However deferring a task would only increase your pile of work. The only way to get rid of that feeling is to do unpleasant tasks very first thing in the morning and get them over with. Do all tasks in the morning, starting with the hardest task and ending with the easiest task.
4.      Always be aware of the time and what you need to be doing at that very time – even if it’s time for relaxation. Enjoy a lazy holiday – but don’t let the laziness carry over to the entire week.
